In search of a local coffee house? Here's a few around town worth visiting.

Three Layers was established in 2008 through the collective effort of Jeff Wright, and his partner Shawn McGuire. Wright and McGuire moved to Florida in 2007. At the time, McGuire was in construction and real estate and Wright was in healthcare. Wright in particular had a passion for food and made personalized cakes on the side from his home kitchen. Shortly after that, the opportunity presented itself for the two to open a shop. So they did.

Now under different ownership, Three Layers has grown to become a major cultural destination in the Springfield Historic District. The popular neighborhood café offers an array of coffee beverages. That being said, they also serve lunch, pastries, and beer. They also have a Zen garden and a wine bar open to the public.
Three Layers is located at 1602 Walnut Street. For more information, and hours, please visit their website at: www.threelayersacoffeehouse.com
