Southern Roots was the creation of J.P. and Mariah Salvat, who became inspired to open their own business after lots of traveling; experiencing culture and amazing food. J.P. was obsessed with coffee, and Mariah, food, which is how Southern Roots menu came to be.

Southern Roots is heavily based on the community, supporting local famers, crafters, and artisans. They offer fast, inexpensive food, all of which comes with vegan and/or gluten free options. They serve Panther coffee, espresso, and tea. They have sandwiches and baked goods, and they also sell things like soap and honey.
