Jack Twatchman and Jason Fisher opened up Brew in 2014. They were highly influenced by the coffee scene in other large cities, and wanted to create something similar here in Jacksonville. Their aim was to sell fine espressos and craft beers, too…Hence their name.
They sell only espresso drinks and cold brew coffees, with no flavored syrups or additives as options in their drinks. They sell local coffee, from places like Bold Bean, but also rotate out different roasters from around America. As for beer sales, they generally focus on caned craft beers, but have added a few selections on tap. Brew also sells “artisan toast,” which is a collective effort from Community Loaves and Dig foods. They currently offer three types of these toasts: goat cheese, kimchi jam, arugula, rosemary garlic; a currant rye toast with butter and calamondin marmalade; and a wheat toast with butter and a dark chocolate-pecan spread.
Brew is located at 1024 Park Street. For more information, and hours, visit their website at: www.brewfivepoints.com
