A National Tour of Into the Woods has been finishing up its final tech, talent and production at the Thrasher Horne Center for the Performing Arts in Orange Park. It is an amazing restaging and reimagination of the original show, that retains all of the glorious music, in radically more intimate performance. Really an amazing show, worth the trip and time. Check out the details after the jump.

Venture Into the Woods with the acclaimed Fiasco Theater production that the Associated Press called “ingenious and bewitching” as the national tour prepares at Thrasher-Horne Center.

For two weeks the cast and creative team behind the production will call Orange Park home as they conduct technical rehearsals and finalize the production for their six-month tour.

Performances begin with the National Tour Preview on Saturday, November 26 at 8 PM at Thrasher-Horne Center.

Unanimously praised and extended twice at Roundabout’s Laura Pels Theater, the Tony Award® - winning musical classic by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine has been mounted with boundless imagination. This witty and wildly theatrical re-invention, produced by the Dodgers (Jersey Boys, Matilda) and NETworks Presentations (The Phantom of the Opera, War Horse, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific), is IInto the Woods as you’ve never seen it before!

Including dazzling songs like Children Will Listen and No One Is Alone, this thrillingly clever new version made Ben Brantley of The New York Times fall “head over heels.” Mind the wolf, heed the witch and honor the giant in the sky at this extraordinary musical about the power of wishes and what really happens after they come true.

“Fiasco has quickly become a force to reckon with in American theater. Deploying sparklingly lucid powers of interpretation, Fiasco has presented the most accessible version ever of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical Into the Woods.” – Ben Brantley, The New York Times
