Girls Rock Jacksonville is very excited to announce the 5th year of summer music camp followed by the 5th annual Camper Showcase open to the public! Learn when, where, and why, after the jump!

Girls Rock Camp is a weeklong program for girls, trans*, and gender nonconforming youth ages 9-17 from diverse backgrounds in the Jacksonville area. During the week, campers learn an instrument, form a band and write a song, which they perform at the camper showcase the Saturday following camp. In addition, the girls participate in workshops centered around empowerment and creativity - such as Songwriting, Image & Identity, Self Defense, Zine-Making and more - all designed to cultivate self-empowerment and positive identity development in the campers.

Additionally, to help keep our wonderful programming going for years to come, we just launched a #GoFundGRJ campaign to help raise funds (https://www.gofundme.com/girlsrockjax5).
