Tom Majdanics is the Founding Executive Director & CEO of KIPP Jacksonville Schools. KIPP, the Knowledge is Power Program, is a national network of open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter schools with a track record of preparing students in educationally underserved communities for success in college and in life. KIPP currently serves 80,000 students in 200 schools across the nation, including three schools in Jacksonville with nearly 1,000 students. In 2014, Tom was named an “Ultimate CEO” by the Jacksonville Business Journal.
Tom serves on the Florida State College at Jacksonville Board of Trustees, appointed by Governor Rick Scott in 2013. He previously served on the boards of the Jacksonville Children’s Commission, Hubbard House, and was a member of the Jacksonville Journey anti-crime task force. He is a graduate of Orange Park High School and earned a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
