Jacksonville City Leaders to Discuss Climate Change

Jacksonville leaders including Alan Mosely, Vice President for Transportation & Energy, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce; Nancy Kilgo Veasey, Director of Government Relations, Jacksonville Electric Authority; and Margo Moehring, Director of Policy, Northeast Florida Regional Council, will be on hand to discuss the issue and take questions.

The JU Political Science Society and Jacksonville Chapter of the United Nations Association will host a program on Climate Change on UN Day, Oct. 24 -- the 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN. The event is from 3-5 p.m. in the Sam Marks Chapel on campus and is free to the public.

JU Political Science Prof. Emeritus Stephen Baker will offer remarks on the UN role in climate change, and climatologist Dr. Jeff Martin of the Geography Department will discuss the science of climate.
The event is presented by the Jacksonville Chapter of the United Nations Association, the JU Political Science Society and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Gamma Rho Omega and Omicron Delta Chapters.
