Rocky Horror with Karrissa Wade at Florida Theatre

The Florida Theatre is having a full interactive showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show, old school style. For the second (controversial) year in a row, it will be hosted by metrojacksonville correspondent, Karrissa Wade. What could possibly go wrong?

The star of stage and screen, Karrissa Wade is well known for her roles in many local theatre productions.

She was a headliner in several original productions at Boomtown Theatre and recently featured in Crushed Black's documentary: The Queen of Cabaret .

Several years ago, Karrissa broke the sequin barrier by becoming the first local Drag character to star in a television series, where she played herself as a recurring character on "In the Pits'.

One of the few professional cabaret performers with an acting pedigree, she has made her entree into the starchy rooms of several local charities and cultural institutions, and (perhaps unsurprisingly) will be appearing at the historic Florida Theatre on Saturday, October 25th.

She will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the iconic 40th anniversary of the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.

The performance begins promptly starts at 8, and after the firestorm of commentary from last year's performance we expect nothing less than inflammatory from Miss Wade this year.

The after party (with prizes for best costumes) will be hosted by Miss Wade and held at The Metro Entertainment Complex afterwards.  Its a free entry with theatre ticket stub. (in other words you can skip cover charges for the club)

The promoters (and detractors) are claiming that the performance is destined to be as scandalous as Miss Wade' s Bordello Bingo for adults only at Hamburger Marys on Tuesdays.  Known for her quick wit and devilishly wicked sense of humor.
This promises to be a event of the season.

A event not for the faint of heart. Time to do the Time Warp Again.
