Tell us about Two Dudes.

Two Dudes features fresh seafood, great burgers and tacos!

What makes Two Dudes special?

Our seafood is from Mayport daily, from boats not trucks, and is fresh, never frozen. All entrees, sauces, seasoning and desserts are made in house from scratch.

Where do your recipes come from?

Me! I'm the Executive Chef at Two Dudes.

What are your top 3 recommendations for someone new to Two Dudes?

1. Key West Mahi with charred Papaya.
2. Blue Crab Mac & Cheese.
3. Grouper - fried, blackened or grilled.

What would you recommend for someone who's been a few times and is looking for something a little different?

Crab-Mango Quesadilla with Fire-Roasted Mango Salsa.

What's your favorite item?

The Atlantic Beach.

Can you tell us about your fish market?

Attached to our restaurant we sell fresh, local seafood. We also sell seasonings and sauces that are used at Two Dudes. These are our unique, home made items such as Atlantic Beach Aioli Sauce (a ketchup alternative that's great for dipping everything from shrimp to french fries), Mango-Wasabi Slaw Dressing (add it to your own cabbage at home), and Fire Roasted Quesadilla Salsa. After stocking you up with awesome ingredients we'll help you out with directions so you can create your own menu and enjoy some Two Dudes deliciousness at home.

Can you tell us a little about your background? How long have you been in the Jacksonville area?

I grew up in Atlantic and Neptune Beach. My father was in the navy and stationed here at Mayport. When he retired we stayed. I moved away and lived in South Carolina, Atlanta, DC, and Dallas where I have worked for companies such as Marriot, Houston's, Crowne Plaza as well as owned a couple of restaurants myself. My wife and I moved back home about 2 and half years ago. My wife Melissa works at Two Dudes also and she is from Clinton, South Carolina, near Greenville.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Our passion for food is shown in each and every dish. There are 2 rules of The Two Dudes:
1)  Nobody leaves hungry!
2) Everyone leaves happy!
