MOSH: "Cosmic Concerts" at the Upgraded Planetarium!

Cosmic Concerts are a beloved MOSH favorite! In fact, the planetarium at MOSH debuted its first laser light show in 1975. The Alexander Brest Planetarium director at the time actually coined the term ?Cosmic Concert,? and it has been used ever since. Join us after the jump for this summer's schedule of the Museums modern incarnation of this great Jville tradition!

In 2010, Bryan-Gooding Planetarium opened its doors at MOSH. The complete renovation of the equipment and the theater included a new state-of-the-art SkyLase laser system.  The upgrade – coupled with a new digital sound system – makes for a completely new and improved Cosmic Concert experience!

I've been a few times before and after the reno. The shows are awesome if you pick the ones playing music you like. My only "complaint" is that they have turned the volume down considerably, but that is probably a good thing for your hearing. I just remember leaving and my ears ringing for 30 minutes after the show, and loving it. Definitely get the 3D glasses, they add a lot to the images on the dome.

Does the genre of music depict the shapes for the laser show? Fpr example, once I saw a laser show on the fourth of July and it was all patriotic imagery.
