Is San Marco Blvd. losing a lane in each direction?

Yes, replaced by street parking along most sections.

So glad to see 7-11 opening two palces downtown. Why did it take them all of two seconds to decide to build downtown and with every other palce, it is like pulling teeth? I like the  7-11 sign on the corner of the garage. With the courthosue not too far away and Everbank right there too, I think they picked a prime spot with lots of traffic.

It is interesting to see how fast 7-11 moved on those locations. On a side night I noticed the purple illuminated directional  signs hanging on the traffic signal mast arm poles downtown are being repaired, they actually light up again at night now.

M Shack isn't going into the old TAG in San Marco anymore.

What's going on with 1029 Park Street? You have it on the update, but no commentary on whether someone is moving in?

The bridge lighting could be the Mayor's legacy project  :)    Would also look fantastic on our Thursday Night game against the Colts.

Jason, I have given up on that!

Is T-Flats just using the old Sushi Cafe spot or did they also take over the long-empty space next door (used to be a phone store)?

Pretty sure just the old Sushi spot

Not sure he wants a legacy project like that....the lights don't work (they get water in them I think)

I actually like the way the bridge looks now.  I thought the LED was weird looking and a bit overkill.  Light the top in the same manner as the rest of the bridge is lit, at the most...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the lights would have to be replaced because of the water intrusion.  I thought they added a lot of vibrancy to the night time skyline.  Hang in there FSUJax, maybe we'll beat some sence into him  :)

Any idea if the Well Fargo tower will be lighting up in teal this year?

Anyone know if there are any plans to open a second M Shack since the San Marco plan went bust? If so, where? Think it'd do great in 5 Points at the old Fuel spot or the old New Broadway.

What happened to the San Marco plan for M Shack?

Ardy's Eatable Delyghts sounds interesting!

Not sure about that S-line conversion.  Is there a good map of where it will go?

Build-out too expensive. I'm surprised...but yeah, that's what I heard from a source close to Medure. My only question is if/when they're looking for another space. I know they want to build upwards of a dozen locations, but I haven't seen much movement.

In Springfield, the massive JEA construction project just South of 1st is still going.Think they're transitioning to the build phase now. Also, a couple small barbershops seem to be opening on E. 8th.

We've biked the S-line trail these past weeks.  More like explored.  Really great.  It starts up just below the MLK at the tracks.  Have taken it up to Pearl Street.  But it goes on through the hood.  Is there a map somewhere?

I may have to make a map if no one can find an existing one.  It basically goes in a straight line from 21st Street to Norwood Plaza, near Gateway Mall.  Unfortunately, if we ever put rail down that corridor, we'd have to rip it out and rebuild it since they put it in the middle the ROW.

Not dead yet, from what I am told.

An employee at their beach location said they were looking to place M Shack where the Black Bean Burrito once was, as a possibility.

^That is the spot Smashburger is considering.  Although M Shack would do well there, too.  It may be a more appropriate size for them.  The good news is that the grease trap will finally be moved OUTSIDE the building and that will help the smell problem that plagued Black Bean and the Moe's before them.

I wonder how long Matthew has remaining on the lease of the corner spot where TAG was located.

Just freaking amazing! The city has gone ahead and paved the future streetcar line up to Norwood... Lay those tracks right on top of that pavement and ballast liberally, shouldn't have a weed problem. LOL.

One has to wonder if somewhere, somehow, someway deep within the evil downtown palace somebody thought that this would stop our efforts for rail... HA HA HA! Get outta the way, TRAINS COMING!

What's with M Shack/Smashburger-style places reluctance to enter the 5 Points market. Are the storefronts that overpriced, or is the area that much of an iffy investment?

Laying streetcar track on a slab is not at all uncommon...

Let's railroad this trail.

Not to nit-pick or anything but what's referred to as the former post office DT was about 5% post office and 95% federal courthouse.
