A restaurant revolution has engulfed downtown Jacksonville. Here are six awesome restaurants and dining scenes on their way to downtown's streets.
Gilbert South
Celebrity chef Kenny Gilbert is negotiating a lease to open Gilbert South at 120 East Forsyth. Gilbert South would specialize in modern Southern food. Earlier this month, Gilbert told the Times-Union, "When you open the door and smell the fried chicken and smoke, you'll know exactly what kind of place you're in. It should feel like home." Gilbert hopes to start construction in early 2015.
