About www.JaxMomsBlog.com
At Jacksonville Moms Blog we are passionate about parenting, community and the city of Jacksonville. Jacksonville has a population of over one million making it easy to get lost in the crowd. We want to encourage other Jacksonville moms to get out in the community and try new things. We strive to provide moms with relevant, timely and fun information about all things mom here in the greater Jacksonville area.

Jacksonville Moms Blog was founded by two friends, Megan Kilis and Vicky Lane, who met through a local mom fitness group. Realizing a lack of resources for moms in the area, they sought to create an online community for local Jacksonville-area moms to connect with each other; discover local businesses and resources; and share experiences, ideas, and information.

About Kathy<
Kathy is a Georgia girl who followed her surfer husband Chuck to the beaches of Jacksonville. Mom to seven-year-old twins Sophie and Will, three-year-old Lainey, and her newest little guy Henry! Stay at home mom and avid volunteer, Kathy truly believes in teaching her children to embrace the community, to depend on each other, and to serve one another. Kathy is currently serving her second year on the board of directors for Junior League of Jax and is on the executive board of the PTA where her 1st graders attend school. She is very active in her church, Neptune Baptist and has been involved in the MOMS Club of Jax Beach for over five years, actively contributing to the activities calendar the entire time. Kathy has learned so much in her career as a software consultant for Oracle, but is always amazed at the skills she has acquired as a mom and community volunteer. Kathy also enjoys running and completed her last marathon (#9) in 2011, but always wonders if she shouldn't do another just to have a good even 10 under her belt!
