27. Red Fin Group

Red Fin Group, a web design, branding, and marketing firm founded in 2006, will relocate from Mandarin to East 10th Street.

28. 1221-1237 North Liberty Street

TerraWise Homes is building eco-friendly, “net zero” homes at 1221-1237 North Liberty Street.





There are more new single family homes under construction now in Springfield than any time since the housing market crash.

29. 122 West 8th Street

The old "moto lodge" at 122 W. 8th Street, an old hotel which was has been out of use for some time, has been demolished. According to MySpringfield.org, it was a non-historic, non-contributing structure. Operation New Hope plans to break ground on a two-story, 14 unit workforce housing apartment development later this year.








SAN MARCO

30. Oral Explosions Building

It appears the long vacant Oral Explosions food court building has been recently leased.

31. 2006 San Marco Boulevard

A women's clothing and accessory boutique shop will be opening soon at 2006 San Marco Boulevard.






32. Taverna

A building permit was recently issued for the 1,500 square foot expansion of San Marco Square's Taverna restaurant.  The $250,000 buildout will expand the restaurant into a space formerly occupied by Mimi's Antiques.

33. San Marco Station

Construction continues on San Marco Train Station project at 1440 Hendricks Avenue. The Ed Ash development will include a new 4,000 square foot building occupied by Panera Bread and the restoration of a 1915 City of South Jacksonville waterworks building into retail/dining space. A large courtyard for outdoor seating and entertainment will be constructed between the structures.

34. Painting With A Twist

Painting With A Twist will be opening a new studio at 1525 San Marco Blvd soon.

Corks N Canvas was started in 2007 by Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney in Mandeville, Louisiana. The concept pairs instructional art with friends, wine and a lively instructor to produce individual works of art. With four locations in the Greater New Orleans Area, the company began franchising the business as Painting with a Twist® in 2009. To date, 90 franchise locations are open all over the country. Headquartered in Mandeville, Louisiana the company maintains the artwork copy rights and brand direction of the franchise locations to insure that every location produces the same fun experience by which the company was founded.
