RIVERSIDE/AVONDALE
Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches
Work continues on the site at Park Street and I-95.
Derby on Park

Pizza Palace site
Riverside's Pizza Palace closed earlier this month and is expected to be replaced by an unnamed national chain.
1534 Oak Street
Construction continues on 1534 Oak Street in Five Points. According to the Architect, Design/Cooperative 1534 Oak Street will establish a unique multi-use building in the heart of the vibrant and diverse 5 Points neighborhood. Through the addition of office space, Jacksonvilles first true rooftop lounge, and a new restaurant from the team behind Chew and Restaurant Orsay, the project will make an important contribution to the ongoing revitalization of 5 Points.
The mixed use building will be three stories with a roof top lounge. The floor plates are approximately 6,400 sq.ft. with an overall building area of approximately 24,000 sq. ft. The project strives to strengthen the pedestrian experience in the 5 points area and creates a new destination for Jacksonville residents.

Sushi Cafe
Sushi Cafe will be relocating into Riverside Square shopping center's former Quizno's Subs location. The project is expected to be completed in June.
Tijuana Flats Burrito Company
Tijuana Flats Burrito Company plans to open a 90-seat restaurant in the space currently occupied by Sushi Cafe, after that restaurant relocates.
Jackson's Grill space
Park & King's former Jackson's Grill is being converted into a Tex-Mex style restaurant/bar.
Beer:30 A Craft Beer Emporium
Coming soon to Riverside's Park & King district.
The Salty-Fig Southern Gastropub
The Salty Fig, A Southern Gastropub is expected to open at 901 King Street in September 2012. According to the lastest edition of Arbus Magazine, the plan is to combine several vacant spaces in the 80-year old former Pic 'N' Save building into a restaurant featuring a bar, dining area and outdoor sidewalk seating.
Dahlia's Pour House
Dahlia's Pour House, at Post & King Streets, is expected to open later this month. Dahlia's was recently granted an exception that will allow them to open in this historic Riverside commercial storefront.
Walker's
Park & King's Walker's Wine Bar is being converted into a tapas bar.
Robert E. Lee High School
The reconstruction of Robert E. Lee High School continues.
Pulp Juice Bar
Pulp is still in the process of moving forward with opening their second urban Jacksonville location at the Shops of Avondale.
