Cheryl Grymes Bio
Cheryl Grymes is already the leader of a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the Duval County public school system and now is pursuing the School Board District 1 seat. Grymes has a decade-long record of improving corporate and community involvement in the school district, homing in on challenges like improved principal training, better outreach to parents, and more efficient central office operations. Her involvement in 16 different Duval County community groups includes several years with Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she is a top executive, serves as a mentor and helps improve mentoring for Duval County youth. Grymes is also the former leader of a countywide council of PTAS and was named Mother of the Year by one local organization. She has been endorsed by the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors.
