Don't Freak Out About Ramsey Injury


Well, here we are again. It’s the offseason and the Jaguars’ first round draft pick is injured. Jalen Ramsey has a torn meniscus in his right knee. This is an injury that is not as serious as a torn ACL or MCL.

Well, here we are again. It’s the offseason and the Jaguars’ first round draft pick is injured.

Jalen Ramsey has a torn meniscus in his right knee. This is an injury that is not as serious as a torn ACL or MCL. Your meniscus is cartilage that sits at the bottom of your knee to act as a cushion, whereas your ACL or MCL connects your bones to each other. With any circumstance like this one, there’s good news and bad news. I’ll start with the good.

It’s not season-ending. Obviously, I haven’t been in the examination room with Ramsey and team physician Dr. Kaplan. What I do know are the facts. The Jaguars are being transparent about this. I’ve spoken with someone close to the situation who says the timetable on his rehab and return has not yet been determined, but it will be next week.
