Digital Risk LLC is considering Jacksonville for a new operations center that would employ up to 175 people, according to the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission.

The JEDC on Wednesday will consider providing city and state financial incentives totaling $525,000 to the company. Financial services is among the industries Florida has targeted for expansion. The city’s share of the incentives would be up to $105,000.

Digital Risk, headquartered in the Orlando area, provides business consulting services to the residential mortgage holders, advising them on ways to boost returns and hold down losses.

Digital Risk’s plan for a Jacksonville operations center would hire 100 employees this year, followed by 50 in 2011 and another 25 by the end of 2012.

Digital Risk is looking at sites in the Southside for leasing 50,000 square feet of space for an operations center, according to JEDC.

The firm, founded in 2005, currently employs 496 people with locations in Orlando, New York City and Dallas.
