Was over there on Monday and noticed some ground moving on the spot next to MiMi's...  Is that where Bahama Breeze is going or did that fall through too?

I'm gonna revive this thread because it has the most relevant title concerning SJTC store additions.

The SJTC will be home to the city's first 'fab'rik' store, which is a women's clothing retailer. The SJTC has become a hotbed for women's fashion.

Another case of a store/restaurant hitting up NORTHERN FLORIDA, before Central or Southern FL. Just like Academy, REI, Gander Mtn etc etc etc.

SJTC marches on. Incredible growth in that shopping mecca, it's become a little city out there.

Being near UNF was also a good move.

I hope they don't lose track of walkability, there are a lot of apartments nearby.

While I'm honestly surprised that Louis Vuitton has been successful at the Town Center, I'm equally surprised to see that Gucci is adding to the slowly burgeoning luxury retailer landscape in Jacksonville with a new store at the Town Center.

^ FYI, the Jags players and their wives provide a strong foundation for these stores based on my walk-bys :).  The fact is, especially with the beaches attracting national move-ins, there seems to be plenty of well-heeled customers nowadays in Jax.

I have also noticed that a lot of working women like to treat themselves to these luxuries as personal rewards.  It's not just boyfriends/husbands picking up gifts.

Not quite LV or Gucci, but I was in Tori Burch before Christmas and one of the employees said her husband played for the Jags.  There seems to be a very symbiotic relationship between the team and the high end retailers of the city.

^It's almost like positive externalities exist from being an NFL city that are hard for a city auditor to quantify.
