maybe you can convince The Landing to open a LJS.....
Need someone willing to go franchise with it.  Corporate doesn't operate in Florida.

Never seen a food court style LJS, though I suppose it could be done.

The Gainesville Ale House on Archer Rd. has a Fish and Chips special on Friday that is really, really good. I'm not sure if the one on San Jose has the same special or not.

Come down to the Daytona Beach area and try the Down Under and my favorite...The Brig on International Speedway near Salty Dog's Surf Shop and the Tir Na Nog Pub..The Brig has some of the best fish (and chips) but it's not really on the menu, just ask for it...

Captain D's
Cap D's has  more batter, that is soggy.  The fish under the soggy batter is smaller too.

LJS's is  crispier, and tastier.

When I was a kid, I missed fish & chips from Arthur Treacher's.  I was too young.   They had one at Arlington Rd, and Rogero Rd.  (Next to the Carroll's Meat Market) , and yes (across the street form Long John Silvers!)

 Are they still in business?
If so, where?

REEDNAVY, will you google it for me?

Small world, the guy who owned the company is a semi-retired attorney who lives at the beaches now. He was my contracts professor in law school, name of James Cataland. Hilarious gent.

I think there were Arther Treacher's at University Blvd. and out on Main Street.
Malt vinegar, anyone?

I remember going to Arthur Treacher's at The Avenues Mall.  I also used to visit Long John Silver's on U.S. 17 in Orange Park...

Oh Brother's had pretty good fish and chips and malt vinegar when we were there for one of the World Cup games.  Need to try them again.

It's not LJS or Captain D's, but I can't believe we're this far in without a mention of Safe Harbor Seafood. Good conch fritters and also a really great seafood market. It gets BUSY.

Bad news for North Florida LJS lovers, the Gainesville locale on Newberry Rd has closed. It was torn down to make way for a future Panda Express (building from the ground up on site). I thought that I was going crazy trying to find it before my VA checkup at the Hospital. Now the closest one to Jax is in Ocala.
