Observations:
Of 11 cities with positive growth, over half, 6, have no NFL teams.  Of 8 cities with negative growth, 7 have NFL teams.

I am not taking into account growth, or lack thereof, in greater metro areas or teams in nearby cities (e.g. Dallas/Ft. Worth) and realize the actual stadiums might be in surrounding communities.

^All of these cities have at least one professional sports franchise. OKC doesn't have a NFL team but the city is spending $900 million in taxpayer funds on a new basketball arena to replace the current arena that was built in 2002. I don't think professional sports have anything to do with their growth or lack of growth. High housing cost, limited land availability for low density sprawl, etc. are likely more significant factors.

After thity some years here.......so Looking Forward To Moving..... Alternatives..... the details not needed sharing here other than Non- NFL,Steady State County Population/ (By the way...so many USA County doing Just Fine Because NIMBY Solidly In Place) County Plan Departments Caustic about Development Proposals.
As a Kid in Miami, the Dinner Table Conversation...my Dad hoping for a move to Jacksonville, my Mom always replied "Jacksonville Is Cruddy!"
My Dad won over round one,my Mom effectively issued Edict.
They should have simply never moved, remained in Charlevoix Michighan.
My Sister was born in Michichan, me...Miami Beach.
I have "Outgrown" Jacksonville.....what a Priveledge. Not even Avondale " Upscale" residence. Buyers are willing no matter What.
( Sell before the Local Elementary School Closed..)
Many years ago,"Jacksonville" was so ardent, promoted the "Millionth Citizen".
Jacksonville " Millionth Mania" events. (Barnett) Bank funded....Fireworks Downtown!!...
Well.....the Coveted Millionth Duval Resident proved Illusive.
Only by assembling the Jax Statistical Area/Surrounding Counties could there be a (False) "Jacksonville " Millionth citizen.
Carl Hiassen/ Mami Herald followed up on the Non News.
I am noted on this..."Jacksonville's Millionth Mania"....Carl Hiassen's Book Kick A**
The backdrop then.... Militant Clay and St Johns county outlook on evil Duval. Competitive advantage/effort. JEA outer county expansion.Etc...
Former Clay and St Johns County Planners involved with key County Transformation/First Coast Outer beltway in fact showed up as residents of Riverside Avondale and RAP Board/Involvement.
More to come.
Many might or Should/Did  Reconsider The Move To NFL City Jacksonville. And others....perhaps Perfect! Welcome!
