Jay Stowe leaving JEA

This apparently wasn’t expected to break until Monday, but Rory Diamond tweeted it out.

It appears JEA CEO Jay Stowe will depart the authority soon. According to Diamond:

Appreciate Jay Stowe’s service to JEA, he settled the waters at a very difficult time.

For our new CEO, we need someone who is highly competent, but also understands to their core that JEA must be a positive force for our community.

Likewise, no more key employees living and working out of state. It’s not right.

Bright future ahead for JEA and the 2,000 incredible employees that keep our lights on 24/7!
