Went to Fort Clinch as a child and maybe back once since.  Need to revisit.  Aside from the fort, the views from that location and the surrounding lands are worth the trip.  Luckily, this is preserved as it would be prime development land today.

State parks around the country are undervalued and underappreciated in my opinion and often can rival some national parks and lands.  We always add a few to our bucket list when traveling and are almost always pleasantly surprised by their beauty and tranquility.  Its icing on the cake when we are among only a few visitors so we don't have lots of traffic detracting from nature and history  8).
