Unless something else has been negotiated, I'm pretty sure the Jags have got like 13 days to start horizontal construction on the Four Seasons project, lest they default on their six-month extension from the DIA.

Keep your eyes on that space!

Looks like additional fencing has gone up around the perimeter of the site in the last week or so.

Yup, I saw it yesterday as I was parking at the Jaguars game.

^Can't wait to see how this one develops.

It's such an interesting story.

On one hand, you look at the area surrounding this parcel - brownfields; a neglected, unspectacular Met Park; a cavernous Lot J parking lot; a massive jail - and it makes absolutely no logical sense that Four Seasons would be willing to plant a flag here.

On the other hand, you've got Shad Khan and Mark Lamping pulling this massive flex, including the Four Seasons name in all their marketing materials, referring to the hotel by name as Four Seasons Jacksonville, etc, with no public acknowledgement from Four Seasons at all that Jacksonville is even in consideration.

But there also hasn't exactly been a cease and desist either from Four Seasons.

I can't imagine they're not on board, albeit reluctantly, if for no other reason than because of their relationship with Shad Khan.

Gonna be really, really interesting to see what the supporting ask for Lot J 2.0 looks like, cause a Four Seasons would die a death in that spot without some supporting entertainment and nightlife in the vicinity.

I'd guess the acquisition of the fairgrounds changes the plan for Lot J. But before any of that happens, the stadium ask. Lots of moving parts, indeed. As with most projects, the more complex, the slower it goes...

Anyone know the status of the Brooklyn Skyway station?  I noticed a bunch of general construction equipment in the parking lot where it was planned.

I haven't heard much about it. However, now that I ride the Skyway 3 or 4 days a week, I can tell you how often it breaks down.

According to a post today, site work permits are in hand and work will be "....commencing in the coming days"

To Ken's point, I'm in this boat. It's a little strange to me. I must be honest.....I feel a little like I'm watching George Costanza drive Susan's parents to the end of Long Island to show them the house he has in the Hamptons hoping they'll say, "We believe you," before he gets to the end of the island.

I'd love to be wrong here.

Two backhoes were on the property this morning and it looks like they're starting to do site clearing.

Can confirm there are many yellow thingys on site chewing up old roads, sheds, etc.
