I was looking to buy tickets for a show in October and noticed they no longer have assigned seating. You now buy either lower or upper level and seating is open an hour before the show. Has anybody been since this change? With higher attended shows, this feels like cluster potential. With the prior system, a group of four could buy a table and know exactly where you’re sitting. Now there’s a chance you end up sitting apart.

^ The hotel sold a couple of years back.  It's could be what is typical of new buyers... looking for ways they think they are smarter and/or more efficient than the old sellers, trying to squeeze a few more dollars out of the property to hit a financial homerun.  I would call them and educate them to how a regular customer sees the changes :).

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, it could also be an adjustment related to staffing shortage issues and higher labor costs.  Probably takes staff more time to direct customers to specific seating.
