I also do Dordle (2 words in 7 guesses or less) and have noted before how much more obscure some of their words are.  Yesterday, I had the letters M, H, R and Y (no other vowels remaining and most all common consonants used).  The answer: MYRRH!  Had to look it up. It's a yellow, fragrant, sap-like resin that comes out of cuts in the bark of certain Commiphora trees, including the Commiphora myrrham tree. Myrrh contains chemicals that might reduce pain and kill bacteria.  How many people would know that  ?  While I am holding at 99% solve rate on Wordle and 97% on Quordle, I am at 95% on Dordle because of these way-out words they use from time to time.  Only got this one right by guessing far out combinations with my remaining letters.

Thanks for bringing in its claim to fame!  Unfortunately, I don't ever recall having to write this out so the spelling/connection wasn't in my vocabulary  .  These games can definitely improve your spelling and expand your vocabulary over time.

Thanks for bringing in the its claim to fame!  Unfortunately, I don't ever recall having to write this out so the spelling/connection wasn't in my vocabulary  .  These games can definitely improve your spelling and expand your vocabulary over time.

I bought some gold jewelry and frankincense while in Saudi Arabia... still not a wiseman though...
