Hi.

Long time lurker around here, finally decided to create an account so it can track my read messages (should have a long time ago).

I grew up in Seattle, but moved to Jax over 10 years ago and am raising my children near the beaches. 

I do have one question about MetroJacksonville... how is this site and ModernCities related?  They seem to have the same format and a lot of similar content.  Sorry if it should be obvious, it just seems there is a lot of overlap.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Welcome! Are you a Seahawks fan?  :o

Some of the founders of Metrojacksonville created Modern Cities as a site with a stricter focus on urban issues and broader coverage (not just Jax).

I am a Seahawks fan and will always be... except when they play the Jaguars.

Its possible to have two loves... but its painful to see them fight each other.

I had my Jags gear on at the game Sunday, and I am glad we won.  But once in a while when the Hawks made a great play I accidentally cheered.  Some people definitely looked at me funny. :)

Modern Cities and Metro Jacksonville are separate companies but have some of the same owners. Some Modern Cities content is posted here with links back to Modern Cities, with links back to Modern Cities. To make things even more confusing, some of the rest of the Modern Cities crew (like yours truly) are regular posters on the Metro Jacksonville forums.
