Today 12/12/16 at 9am is the Non-Motorized Activities Subcommittee meeting of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission on the 4th floor of city hall at 117 West Duval St. Jacksonville, Florida 32202. Will any media be there? Will Public comment be on the agenda? Anyone going?

Yea number 5 is interesting, and also #2, there is like nothing near Half Moon Island, so I wonder what that is about.
The race is not always to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor satisfaction to the wise,
Nor riches to the smart,
Nor grace to the learned.
Sooner or later bad luck hits us all.

Hey Noone-- how'd it go? I'm especially curious about #5.

No one was there. The meeting today was a Non Motorized subcommittee meeting at 9 and then by just dumb luck there was another Sports subcommittee of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission at 10:30 which does not appear on the coj.net website.
The Chair of the Non Motorized subcommittee Anna Lopez Broche agenda item VI. Public Comment (at discretion of Chair)
The Chair of the Sports subcommittee Jim Love agenda item IV. Public Comments

As for the FIND projects 5&2 they are all up for discussion, debate, and an ultimate vote at the 12/14/16 9:30 am full meeting of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission. For the record during Public Comment at both meetings I told everyone that I participated Sat. 12/10/16 at the festival in Springfield and had my picture taken with Smokey the Bear.(FEDERAL). I'm one happy camper. I also told the people of power that we need the kayak logo back up at Catherine St. on Hogans Creek, Also mentioned 2016-305- Shipyards Public Fishing Pier, Also mentioned 2016-18 and the ADA Non motorized hand launch at the DCPS property and all that is needed is permission, Also mentioned when it was mentioned about safety on the Waterways Downtown to remember that you passed legislation so that you can jump in the river Downtown and swim and not just at the RAM dock.

The biggest discussion on 5 will be if platform remains plural.

Stay positive. We aren't LOST.

2016-18 was the city council legislation on FIND projects last year.
2017-1 the first filed piece of legislation are new rules and enforcement for Parks. Hemming Park is noted but the legislation is expanded.
Where is the city council filing for the 2017 FIND project list? Do it between Waterway Commission meetings? We are so LOST.
Where are the Fisherman and Charter Captains?

I am Downtown and why you aren't.
Visit Jacksonville! Mr. Paul Astleford.

Non- Motorized "Press" Item.

NOT NEWS (replaces FAKE NEWS narrative, FTU focus...?)

Just imagine had Florida Times Union made effort to note this meeting ....even Paper Edition.
Always interesting to literally sit under the FTU location....in a Kayak,McCoy's Creek and Surmise about this stuff.Sorry Ron Littlepage,Bill Sweisgood.

Come to think about it (or even if you don't) this spot underneath FTU would make for a great Press Conference location with Nationwide Press Outlet. Or similar. When the FTU representative attempts to interject.......Sorry FTU,you are Not News....Others too...
