The best places,land area/placement were developed first.

And fascinating that San Marco has withstood the test of time.......not in "Decline".

The Hotel was to have worked in conjunction with the golf club across the way. San Jose CC was where they would play their rounds, the hotel was where they dined.

Many rooms in Bolles Hall still have the toilets and bathrooms from the old hotel.
