Definitely the definition of a pork project.

It amounts to a subsidy for developers who own this state from top to bottom.  Nothing more than that.  Just like our outer beltway and 9 B.  Just follow the money.  The same developers who support candidates that don't want Medicaid expansion, funding social services, money for education, protecting our environment, etc.  But for their projects... no amount is too much.

I noticed they're adding a full interchange at SR 540 as well. It seems waaayyyyyyy overbuilt!






FDOT now owns all the land at the end of Sheffield Road. That's a spot I'd keep my eye on also.

Also, the second phase between US 17 and SR 60 has a very low projected 2045 AADT.


Yes, it's way overbuilt for a mere extension which leads me to believe that the expectation of the CPP will be a complete loop as originally planned.
