But . . . if you ascribe to my theory about this year (it's all about the growth of Blake Bortles -- and our WR corps) this was a damn good game. The important pieces on offense are coming together; that will happen for the defense next year. For now, though, Blake has 27 TDs and 13 INTs with for more than 3200 yards and has improved his QB rating nearly 20 points. He is a franchise quarterback! Still frustrating as hell at times but we're watching him clearly grow this season.
A friend online agreed with me about the off-season free agent market (we have the most money to spend in the entire NFL) and the upcoming draft: our focus will be LB's, DE's and safety.
This will be a much-improved team next year. Much improved.
