I was at the Planets. It was magnificent, one of the best performances I've seen here in years.

I think the Planets is one of those works that really is as good as everyone says. It was very fitting for the symphony under Courtney Lewis, which is looking to be exactly as good as everyone was expecting.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

I hope, both.  The Female chorus in the uppermost balcony really out did themselves. You'll have plenty of chances to help publicize Courtney and the Orchestra in the next several months. Extremely glad to hear that Amy Rankin has reached out to you. Hopefully the end result will be rear ends in seats. If we had 5,000-10,000 folks living downtown, that would remedy the attendance woes that too often plague Jacoby Hall.

Stephen

I hope you caught the re-broadcast this evening of The Planets. It was done by WJCT at the usual time slot, 7 pm. Sounded pretty damn good.
