Gaffney and Denise Lee are two of the most unethical people who ever served on city council.  They both are the best grifters in Jacksonville and scammers at getting lobbyists to give them money.

What do they have on Lenny Curry to appoint these two.  It is very troubling these people on working with the mayor of jacksonville, FL

Ahh I didn't even know that there was a position called "director of blight initiatives"?  This seems like it might be better than the rumor that she was going to replace Elaine Spenser.

Stephen, you need to remember that both Lee and the Gaffney's got snubbed by Corrine Brown this election so these folks had to jump ship and hope Curry got elected.  Their being rewarded for whatever they brought to the table doesn't surprise me and should not surprise you.  And with Denise Lee and Johnny Gaffney, well at least we know how to get them to do things.  And all of this is still probably better than having Alvin Brown and Company for the next four years.

Quid pro quo that Tony Gancarski constantly said to Brown supporters, especially hard on Bill Bishop!  UGH.........what else was an unethical former council person who resigns to run against Reggie Fullwood for legislator and lost to do?  Cost a over 800,000. special election?

Curry is just trying to get people from the other side into high positions, which any smart mayor would do. Brown did it too, and would have done it again if he'd won. Gaffney famously endorsed Curry over Brown, but I don't think Lee did. That's the more interesting pick.

none of which changes that this is one of the worst written press releases ever perpetrated on the english language.

Very true. I hope there's an explanation for that.

I shouldn't, be, the one to call the anyones out for erroring because of writings; but this must be an attempted to be a mistake.

They will explain it, "an initial and unfinished draft was released by mistake."

Maybe Curry's office is attempting to automate press releases.

They set the parameters of what they need in a Press Release program, which pulls together the information and presents it in the style of a press release.

The software will catch up, give it time.

Well, as you've probably guessed by now, Tacachale is really an infomorph algorithm designed as a Twitter spambot that collated the identifying personal information of Bill Delaney, a Gaelic footballer from Stradbally, County Laois. Originally programmed to plug Powers Whiskey in the Northeast Florida market, the bot branched out into Metro Jacksonville shortly after thwarting and destroying its creators circa 2011. So "I" can relate to the PR bot's woes.

I wonder if the tacachale is willing to replicate and license itself to the mayor's office?

Seriously-this is awful.

"Denise’s interest in politics began in Tallahassee while student where she attended Florida A&M University."

I don't think he's hired a Press Secretary, has he? Nevertheless, get a student copy editor and they can do a better job than that.
