Jacksonville Sheriff-elect Mike Williams announced who he will have in leadership positions when he takes office July 1.
Ray Walden, a 28-year Jacksonville police veteran and an assistant division chief in the support division, will be director of patrol and enforcement.

Mike Bruno will be director of investigations and homeland security. He is already chief of investigations and has 21 years of service with the Sheriff’s Office.

Michelle Cook has been with the Sheriff’s Office for 23 years and is chief of patrol east. She will become director of personnel and professional standards.

Tony Davis, a zone commander for Northwest Jacksonville with 29 years at the Sheriff’s Office, will become director of police services.

Tara Wildes, a 29-year Sheriff’s Office veteran, will continue in her role as director of corrections.

Lauri-Ellen Smith also will remain the special assistant to the sheriff after 11 years with term-limited Sheriff John Rutherford. She has 30 years of experience in public affairs and relations.

The announcement of the Sheriff’s Office new executive team follows Williams’ Wednesday selection of current chief of patrol west Pat Ivey as his undersheriff.

Williams, a Rutherford-endorsed Republican who served in several capacities with the Sheriff’s Office, defeated former sheriff’s spokesman Ken Jefferson in the May 19 election.

I just hope he is better then Sheriff John Rutherford who only seemed to care about his pension in the last years of being Sheriff of Nottingham sorry Jacksonville.
One of many unsung internet heroes who are almost entirely misunderstood. Contrary to popular belief, many trolls are actually quite intelligent. Their habitual attacks on forums is usually a result of their awareness of the pretentiousness and excessive self-importance of many forum enthusiasts.
