Unfortunately access to the river Downtown continues to be super restricted. Total Backroom deals. Can't make this stuff up.

I could see myself living in Venice or Santa Monica, easily.  So long as I work nearby or at furthest, in Westwood/Brentwood/Century City/Playa Vista.  Which is why most of the professional jobs in LA are actually among these areas, not so much DTLA.  DTLA is making a huge comeback, but it's at the center of a region of 18 million people and has a lot more to work with than DT Jax.  Even so, it's been a struggle there too.

My corporate HQ just moved from DTLA to Century City.  Was closer for those in the top few rungs of management to get there from Pacific Palisades than to DT

Anybody know what the massive building being setup near Philips/Gran Bay/Flagler Center Blvd is? (Right where 9B currently meets Philips Hwy) I assume it's industrial due to its railroad track location, but it is an utterly huge campus.

Of course I look in the Southside link instead of the 795 one, my bad. Thanks!  :D

If that's Ja-ru Toys, they better have some cool stuff setup in there, and tours. Though I'm seriously doubting all of that.

Yes, it's Ja-ru Toys.

acme54321, I'm not sure if it will be served by rail or not.  I'll see if I can find a site plan on the water management district's permitting site.

I would imagine that most of it comes in containerized and would be trucked in but a rail connection would be cool.

No rail. Here's the site plan:
