A proposed five-story hotel in St. Augustine, tentatively called the Ponce Hotel, is going in front of the planning and zoning board and, if all goes well, it could be getting final approval in December, according to the St. Augustine Record. The 86-room hotel, which would be located close to downtown on U.S. 1, will begin the application process on Nov. 4 by requesting a change in land-use for the property. Another hearing about rezoning the land would be held on Dec. 8.
