So this family contracted this company and picked out a donor, the company managed to screw it up, and now the family wants to sue. Folks are really shocked about this? I just wonder what kind of legal standing they have in the suit.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

If no one goes on a crusade to change the world  -- it will never change.

Regarding the "if we stop talking about it -- it will go away" argument, it only "goes away" for those people who wish to maintain the status quo.

It's unrealistic though. Besides, its not up to these people to take on that burden anyway. They're just normal, everyday people living their normal lives. It would be like me trying on my own to get everyone to stop eating meat, or to recycle, let go of their party affiliation, convert to a Mac, buy a Chevy instead of a Ford, etc. Yeah, sure. I may turn a few people, but nothing meaningful & in the end I'd have wasted my life worrying about what everybody else does. People by & large are stupid. Accept it, surround yourself with like-minded folks & move on with your life. Time, growth & death on its own changes a lot of minds.

BTW, what would the "status quo" be you're referring to?

It seems like currently the status quo is for them to take whatever sperm is closest to them and put it up and some girl without any regard for what they've told said girl.

And is just hard for me to put my finger on why it would be bad to call them out on that.

Mistreating a woman at the time of conception has quite commonly been seen as bad without being seen as a condemnation of the child.

I would like to know how they plan to explain all of this to the little girl.....

Little girl: "Mommy #1, why am I not the same color as you?"

Mommy #2: "Well sweety, you are the product of artificial insemination.  Besides having no father, you're also not the model we were expecting.  BUT we still love you, little darling."
