Sunrise always has a big line, at all hours.  Never got a chance to stop by.

If you like curry type flavors try  the chicken curry. I'm looking forward to trying their goat curry.

What do you think is going on with Fox? It may just be the avondale shoppes? I'm not impressed with any of the restaurants there. I wonder if the mediocrity of Brick has crossed the street.

Blue Boy is amazeballs.
Agree on the Fox. It is basic diner food. The presence of the line confounds me, especially when you can pop into Biscottis down the street for better food and no wait.
Definitely need to try the other 2.

Blue Boy has been a favorite for years- I remember my grandfather going up there and us splitting a sandwich many times.

It's sad that it didn't work out downtown- I think there was some issue with the actual location, they weren't allowed to have a fryer or open-top griddle there so the hot sandwiches weren't available. I did have breakfast and lunch there many times when I worked at FBC and one other thing that kinda hurt them was that they kinda let this mentally unstable guy just hang around in there and in the span of half an hour, he'd go from quietly talking to himself to screaming about hitler. It got to the point that if we walked by and saw him sitting in there, we'd go elsewhere and I know we weren't the only ones doing that.

As for the fox? Been there once, the greatest praise I can give it is "it was breakfast".

I think as more pho places open, people will typically just stand behind their favorites. I know saigon time has been there forever but I'm not in love with it. One time we went, the broth was really good, the other- I wouldn't have been shocked if you had told me it came from a packet. Service was okay, we were the only folks in there on both visits. But that's okay. Everyone has their favorites, ST just isn't one of mine.

Pho Viet in Mayport if I can make it. I've been a little too busy this side of town and haven't had a chance to head to the beaches in a a few months. I really like PK Noodles as well- I think I like their hue style pho the best of the places I've had it in town. Honestly, I've really been enjoying Yummy Pho on Normandy and that's where I've been eating the most. I've eaten at every pho place in town (I love soup.) and I'd put them right behind Pho Viet (again, this is all a personal pref, everyone seems to experience these things differently). One thing I do like is that if you order the XL bowl, it's a larger soup to noodle ratio. Some folks might not like that- I watch my carbs and I'm honestly really into the broth- I don't do much doctoring to it.

I'm w/ you on Pho Viet. Yummy Pho, too, although I've only been there once.
