I just popped into Premier Meat's new location on Beaver, near McDuff. It's basically a small scale grocery store now. A great reuse of a long vacant building in an area considered a food desert.

I have been going to Tillmans for about 25 years; since I was a little kid with my dad.  There is something about walking into your neighborhood meet shop that just gets you excited.  My favorite time of year is when fall rolls around and we get that first nip in the air and there is some good football on TV all weekend.  I'll make a run up to the shop, grab a couple of steaks, maybe some fresh burgers and sides, throw those babies on the BBQ and crack a beer...there is nothing like it.  Lots of good memories of doing that with my old man before he passed last year.  Its a tradition that will continue for a another lifetime.
