Jacksonville has more artists than any other city I've ever lived in. A lot of artists in the local community are upset that the scene isn't what they'd like it to be, so we have formed Local Artists Coming Together to be the change we want to see in this beautiful city's scene.
We host monthly events that are absolutely free for artists to participate in, and we are currently raising funds for our next show; a horror themed event on October 13th. The show is called "Horrorfest" and if we can raise enough donations through our Indiegogo Campaign, we will be able to hire a Rockabilly band, rent the equipment to show a locally shot independent horror film in high-def, and properly advertise the event so that the artists involved can look back on a hugely successful endeavor.
This event will double as a food drive for Second Harvest, so we will be feeding the hungry while showing solidarity in our art community. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
We implore you to give what you can, and if you can't afford to donate even a single dollar, just sharing our campaign with local artists and horror fans would do a great deal to further our cause. We hope to see you there with friends in tow. Heck, bring grandma along too.
Thank you, and keep being awesome!
