Escambia County. See the link.

http://www.escambiaclerk.com/clerk/coc_board_minutes_main.aspx

It's a pretty extensive search. You can search by meeting date or you can Type in a word/subject and it brings up any mintues that contain that word...You can then also click on the actual document backup...copy of contract, agreement, etc. Seems like in the long run, it would be more cost effective to have this here. Don't have to spend staff time looking stuff up, copying, etc. It's all available online.

If Escambia County can have that, I don't see why Jacksonville can't.

We can't afford that here because they are too busy trying to cut the budget since the mayor has pledged not to raise taxes.

Tampa has a search option for meeting minutes, ordinances, etc:
http://atg.tampagov.net/sirepub/docsresults.aspx?showsearch=True

Miami:

Ft. Lauderdale:

The more I look, I think we're NOT the norm as far as being able to search public meeting minutes. Boo.

The city furloughed so many of their IT staff that many eventually left.

They don't have the IT support they used to.

Perhaps MJ could give them some schooling on how to run a multi-level website on a shoestring budget.
