Next time, we need T Shirts.  I suggest everyone get a Metrojacksonville T shirt and wear it to meetings.

I don't think Joe's statement is off base. The main question we have on our hands moving forward, is what are we going to do about it?

I seriously doubt this is a dead issue, and will be allowed to be fully implemented, especially in another 3-18 months.

Just wanted to highlight some recent articles on the subject as I am currently in the midst of yet another 12 hour work day b/c we are 'so slow due to these darn mobility fees'

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reported in March that 46% of its members say they have fallen behind schedule on finishing projects, 15% turned down jobs and 9% lost or canceled sales because they can't find enough workers.

I keep sending articles like those the city council. The few responses I get back boil down to the fact that clearly all of the positive indicators for construction recovery are wrong.  they simply will not be told that now is not the time to line the pockets of their friends no matter how well their friends are already doing in their construction industry real estate speculation.

Herzberg's quote about there only being traffic on SR 200/A1A for one hour a day and the rest of the time people could do puchups in the road is laughable.  I worked on a study of that corridor a few years ago, and while it isn't congested, the traffic is constant.  Perhaps Herzberg would like to do pushups when the logging trucks are running up and down the road.
