Yes perhaps at some point they can do say Friday downtown and Saturday off Phillips.

Look at the JBJ; it's no longer under contract.  Considering/Looking at Dowtown though still.

If I was a riverboat gambler, I'd put money they may be one of the intended targets of the $9 million Brown has set aside for DT revitalization.

Quote
“We made a decision to go ahead and let it expire because there are a lot of other sites available, not just the library,” Latitude Chief Marketing Officer Philip Alia said Monday.

Alia said the city has presented Latitude with “multiple other sites” that it continues to evaluate. He said the company has determined how much it would need in a financial incentive package to move Downtown but declined to name that amount.

Yes - Howl @ the Moon was packed - standing room only.  The crowd was festive & fully involved - just like you'd envision it in Orlando.  I was there ~10pm & there was a $5 cover (to walk through the Lat. 30 doors) regardless of the venue.

It would be nice for them to be somewhere on East Bay Street but I'm not sure of any place on Bay that would be anywhere close to the size of the old library, much less that could accommodate a bowling alley/bar/restaurant  build out. Till then... #welp

I've heard they may respond to the Sax RFP with with some sort of City backing.

Hmm, it would be cooler to have them a little closer to the walkable heart of downtown but I guess beggars can't be choosy.

This quote from the Times Union has me worried. I bet they are thinking about the SJTC now. The mayor needs to do what he can to convince them to move downtown.
“I think we still want to be downtown,” he said, “but the question is what else is going downtown in the future. There’s a lot of plans for downtown Jacksonville. We want to sure make that two or three years down the road we don’t realize we should have been part of another entertainment district

Since they need the dedicated parking; I see them going into the Landing in coordination with that garage being built.  No asbestos issues and they can pull out, with a termination option, if it's losing money.

there is no reason for them to go to SJTC....they already spent millions building their current Southside lcoation....and its pretty successful.

as for going to the Landing, I don't see that working if they want their corporate offices in the same place as a small entertainment facility.

I don't know how much space they need, but the Landing may work. They can just rent out a floor or two in the Sun Trust building and be across the street.

I just was worried as he said they were worried they would be in the wrong Entertainment area if they build downtown. The lure of the SJTC may be too tempting. It is growing into a  very large entertainment area in its own right.

No chance they go to St. Johns town center. That would complete with their current location. Think people! That qoute in the newspaper does concern me too though. If they want to wait for a new entertainment district to develop somewhere downtown that could take a long time. I think wishfully a Latitude 30 Intution partnership at ship yards is in the works.

Sounds like a quote that suggests them being in downtown is heavily dependent on the city providing massive incentives to me.

Not saying it wouldn't happen, but the Town Center would be a dumb move considering the Avenues location. However the Beaches wouldn't be. The quote sounds like they're willing to go Downtown if the city works with them, which it presumably is. I don't think I'd want to break the bank to get them at the Sax property, though.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

I think he is more referring to different areas of downtown.  LaVilla vs Bay Street or Brooklyn.  I think anything else in Southside would just poach their own customers.  They need to be either downtown or towards the Northside for their second location.
