Be very cool if they'd add a techie room, ceramics shop, dance studio and various other activities and classes that would appeal to a wide variety of couples.  Horseback riding would be cool too but it might be tough to fit in between the game room and the ladies room.

In the legislative research documents that got posted regarding CM Redman's Met Park proposal, there is also a proposed ordinance requested (IIRC) by the mayor to grant OneSpark a $1, 5 month lease on 2500 sq ft in the Burns library.  With the 90-day diligence period coming due on Feb 1 for Lat 30, is this a bad omen?  It may not directly affect Lat30's buildout timeline, but has anyone heard recent news?

I'm all about supporting OneSpark, but wondering about the Lat30 deal...

Lat 30 is trying to do a lot of things at one time (ie, expansion). COJ will grease the wheels as much as possible, but it'll come down to what Lat 30 prioritizes.

maybe not....One Spark will be done by May....and Latitude 30 will still need time to finalize design plans and get all permits

How would the mayor provide a lease in a building the city doesn't own?  Maybe that's a mistake and it's really the main library?

Does anyone know if the site is still under contract?

It's a mistake. The bill is for the current Main Library, not the Burns.

Thanks Tacahale.  I read all those legislative briefs late last night, bleary eyed.  Glad to see I was mistaken (i think?)

Yes, they are giving the old Shelby's coffee space to One Spark on a temporary lease... Not the old library building across from Burrito Gallery

So the 90 day (from Nov 1) due diligence period for the Latitude deal is complete.  Any word on progress?

I think we'll hear something soon....folks are surmising that some of the $9 million for downtown announced by the Mayor last week will go to this project

I checked out Howl @ the Moon on Sat. night - regardless of where, they absolutely need more space and/or another location.

Is it safe to assume Howl @ the Moon was crowded?  How was the crowd mix and what was the cost to enter?
