I think the logo is better than the old one.  However, the Thundercats called and want it back.

LOL! ;D

I thought it looked a little too cartoonish at first when you're looking at it side by side with the old one, but it's growing on me the more I see it.

Arguably the biggest news of the day came with the release of concept drawings for the massive video boards, which would top those in Houston and Dallas. They are slated to be ready by the 2014 season, although the city of Jacksonville still has to approve the plans and organize funding.

"We want EverBank Field to be a destination where people are going to come to see it," Khan said.

Anyone see these drawings?  How could they do that - we gettin' a dome?  Massive teal arches?

Either an alarmingly high number of NFL fans are stupid across the board, and they all find anything and everything to complain about, or the city of Jacksonville holds a monopoly on dumbassity.  Call it bias, but I tend to think its the latter, I mean I've seen some really, really stupid things get said, then said again by somebody else like 10 seconds later.  To wonder why Jags fan complain so much, will only frustrate you more and more, like it's done to me countless times.  I'm sick of reading about moving to LA/London, Tim Tebow, and ticket sales...

I read their stupid @$$ comments, shake my head in disgust, then find something on the Interwebs to cheer me up...like the Sweet Brown autotune remix.  That never gets old...

This logo is rapidly growing on me. The 'unconfirmed' teal helmet pic above looks really sharp with the gold facemask; The silver one looks good, although there are so many teams with silver helmets already IMO. I'm so glad that the Jags are going with vivid colors, as we're seem to be ditching that uninspiring black scheme. I can't wait to see the unis in April.

Man my nipples over here getting hard. That helment is SWEEETTTTTTTTTTTT. Like the video boards also. I also took a moment and waatched the entire presentation and I'm glad they are open about how the team operates and let us know where stand in regard to revenue etc etc. There is much more that goes into a franchise than what happens on the field. Bat the end of the day its a business. Ill pay for a ticket increase if it will boost local revenue. I'm all for it.. I'm all in hahaha..btw we are. The jacksonville thunder cats!! Lol

Really love the new logo. I don't get  why people are calling it wimpy or feminine? I never really did love the old logo. It was weird- the head was very lumpy looking and if the logo were rendered in 3d, the jag would have the profile of a flounder. That and the fact that on black, it looks like the poor cat's jaw is just falling off. I do like the teal eyes and nose, if the rest of the uniform is going to de-emphasize the teal, it'll look pretty slick.

I really wish they would've ditched the teal. I'm not a Jaguars fan, so I've got no room to complain of course. But teal was a terrible idea in the 90s and it's really, really dated now.

It's hard to tell if they are changing the color scheme at all or if they are just making some minor changes. But it looks like teal is here to stay.

Teal is being de-emphasized to accent color status.  As you probably know, home jerseys are already black now, and the initial word on the updated uniforms is that there will be more gold, less teal.

That's a good point - I know they went with black, though I hadn't heard anything about the gold on the new uniforms.

I heard that shield was supposed to honor the military or something like that, which I am totally opposed to. But that sort of thing will play well with the locals and goes over well with the NFL and sports fans.  Of course, I read it on Wikipedia, so it may not even be true.

Adam, yes, during the "reveal" Khan said that the shield is to honor the strong local military presence and support in the Jacksonville area.  It will primarily appear as the on-field logo.

About the complainers - a friend commented that we could win the next ten Superbowls, and Jags fans would still find something to complain about.

Sheesh... why not 11 or 12?  Pessimist... ;)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."
