One might describe Downtown Jacksonville as a construction zone these days. The projects receiving the most attention include riverfront parks, Sports & Entertainment District developments and the plight of the Laura Street Trio. These are much farther along, but I'm always reminded of the article that came out years ago about The Bull Briar, Kenny Gilbert's concept on Forsyth street, and a couple others that didn't come to fruition.  Of that list, I think Cowford is the only one that opened and remains open.  Hopefully 10 new venues can help create a sustainable level of activity so we can get through the 1 in 1 out for downtown dining that has persisted since 2019.

12. The owners of The District in Springfield are opening a new concept called Dorothy's in the old Burrito Gallery space on Adams St. Supposed to be a Creole theme and offer lunch and dinner and have a bar
