Par for the course for Rory Diamond, but Ron Salem has really disappointed me in the last year with the endless, politically motivated, rather embarrassing Donna Deegan witch hunt. Surely there's something more constructive all of this time could have gone into.

I have heard over the years that Salem hopes to run for mayor at some point.  If he plans to run in the next election against Deegan, his being a foil to her makes some sense.  Unfortunately, it is at the expense of good government and typifies politicos only looking out for themselves, not their constituents.

That approach worked so well for Daniel Davis  ::)

When the election comes, I sincerely hope he is able to capitalize on that $178.81 room service charge he was able to claw back after months of investigation into her trip to London.

Pile that on top of the $10 million for affordable housing and $9 million for homeless services that he was able to cut from her budget, and you've got the makings of a great platform.

Just needs to steer clear of holograms, and he's gold.

I am glad to see the JBA defending the City's top attorney. Some city council members really need to get it together. Folks like Ron Salem have had it out for Deegan since she was voted in and it shows.

I’ll say that both professionally and personally, I was pleased to see this. The general counsel is necessary for our consolidated government to function, and we need someone who’ll stand on the law regardless of politics. If you don’t have that, you don’t have a general counsel, you have the opportunistic vizier from an old cartoon. Glad to see the legal community speaking out.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
