27 East 7th - large mixed-use development

220 apartments, grocer, other commercial spaces, structured parking all planned for 27 East 7th, the former Quality Foods site:

This is like the 5th new proposed grocer in the urban core, so wouldn't hold my breath on that, but apparently the developer has financing secured, pending an approved PUD.

PUD was approved by council earlier this week. We'll see what happens.

Jimmy Saada has also bought some stuff over in the Cathedral District recently (2022).  Keep an eye on him, I think he is keen on doing positive things here in Jax.

They were issued a demo permit late August according to the permit records.
