Has everyone got their latest magnet from the COJ Solid Waste Division? Mine came a couple of days ago.
How much money did the city waste on this poorly thought-out and executed fridge decoration?
What is on the magnet is OK, although the twelve images of things to always or never recycle are a bit small.
It is what is NOT on the magnet, but is on the card the magnet was glued to. Like the recycling website. Or the QR Code on the back of the card that leads to the Waste Collection Wizard that is supposed to allow you to check whether specific items are recyclable. That would have been very helpful (assuming the website is helpful) on the refrigerator magnet - it would be close to where most people would have their Trash/Recycle questions.
Also, the website on the card (coj.net/recycleright) has a lot of information, but it does not highlight the recycling tool (at myjax.custhelp.com). It does cite that URL more than once, but only as a place to check your scheduled collection day or if there is a problem - the tool is not mentioned.
