The Hub Brooklyn is preparing to take shape about two years after the Downtown Development Review Board approved the final design 6-0 at its Oct. 8, 2020, meeting.

The city is reviewing permits for three shell buildings at 400 Riverside Ave. at an estimated construction cost of almost $2.5 million.

Danis Construction LLC is the contractor.

Hopefully this place is successful, looks really cool.  They are really going out on a limb with this concept in this market.

So excited for this one.

Dare I ask if anyone has heard a peep about the Skyway station?

City considering more than $150,000 in grants for The Hub Brooklyn

The money would aid construction of Alder & Oak restaurant and a Southern Grounds coffee shop.

If they're already turning dirt down they really need a handout?

According to the Daily Record contruction has now actually begun.  Supposedly.  Drove by 2 days ago and didn't notice anything.

It's very Jacksonville. Maybe the DIA needs a plug. They did move some dirt around a few years ago.

The grass has been mowed and some dirt scraped around.
